百載之前，一群以漁業為生的水上人陸續在新界東北部的鴨洲聚居，建立日漸完善的社區，在島上編織一段又一段生活歷史。我們特別邀請當地村民，親身分享當年簡樸而豐富的鄉情往事，也許飽含辛酸，也許教人動容；藉由他們的回憶，重現鴨洲的發展歷程和生活概況，讓我們從人的故事中了解小島的昔日時光。

About 100 years ago, a group of fishing families gradually settled on Ap Chau (Robinson Island) in the northeast part of the New Territories to build a community and improve their life. We invited some of the villagers to share their simple and plentiful memories of the old days. Their memories help put together an oral history of life on Ap Chau and its development over the decades.
